He gallantly gave his life in the cause of freedom.” On May 21, 2006, Archbishop Edwin F. O’Brien, the Archdiocese of the Military Services (AMS), officially proclaimed him as a Servant of God and thus formally initiating his Cause for Beatification and Canonization.
